Ok, so I got inspired by my Dad’s blog- Dad’s blog It made me want to start one of my own. So I’ll be talking about family, friends, ministry, all those type of things. This blog in no way reflects Doles United Methodist Church, although I may talk about it from time to time.
We had a great service yesterday. You can watch it here: Church Service Well, besides the fact that I didn’t proofread the slides well enough for the service. We started the pledge of allegiance and half way through it skipped to the end. Dohhhh. Anyways besides that, we did some cool stuff with pictures, video, sound, lighting, it was like a multimedia explosion of fun (yeah, just like that). This upcoming month, we’re going to emphasize the contemporary, then the following will be the traditional. We really honored the veteran’s yesterday, it was cool to do so, if you haven’t seen it, you need to see this video, we showed it yesterday- Video from church
My job is going fantastic. I’ll be sharing stories from talking to people about insurance. Both some cool ways I get to minister, and funny stories. One story that sticks out right now, was when somebody came on the line, told me in colorful language that I needed to get a real job and a college degree while I was at it. Funny huh? Actually it was to me, he just hung up after he did it (probably worked for State Farm). But working for the caveman is going quite well.
We’ve got a pool party in our neighborhood, The boys love to go swimming, so that’s what we’ll be up to today. So that’s the first post, here’s to many more.
